What should I not bring?
Bring an open heart and a clear mind, and you can expect the highest
possible experience. Therefore, please leave behind all non-inspirational
books, music, tobacco, drugs and alcohol.
What type of meals will be provided?
Our usual meals consist of rice, pasta, local dishes, fresh fruits
and vegetables for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, with trail mix
for snacks throughout the day. However, if you have any special
dietary requests, we would be happy to discuss these with you prior
to the beginning of the tour and try our best to meet your needs.
Are additional trail hikes or rappelling mandatory?
Additional hiking and rappelling are not mandatory on any of the
tours.
Hiking the trails are a wonderous way to most fully experience the
beauty of creation. Taking the time and being quiet can bring you
into an awareness of the sights and sounds of nature, as well as
the monkeys, birds, lizards, and even the ants along the way. Many
find that pushing themselves past their own perceptions of physical
limitations bring them to a greater appreciation of their own unlimitlessness.
Is experience hiking, rappelling or riding necessary?
Experience in any of these sports is not required. A moderate level
of physical fitness is recommended though. Some of the trails can
be strenuous, but manageable if you take your time. This is not
a race. For those who wish to try rappelling or horseback riding,
our staff are
well-trained and will assist and prepare you for an exciting experience.
I'm 60 years old, but active and eager to try something
new and challenging. Would your tours be too difficult?
No. You already have three of the most important prerequisites
- active, eager and open to a challenge. But for those who may be
greatly overweight, have any heart, lung or knee problems, you need
to consider your physical condition in making your decision. For
those who have any food allergies or reactions to bee stings, insect
or mosquito bites, please let us know ahead of time.
What do you mean that Package Three also offers customized
tours?
This tour can be customized to accommodate specialize events, interests
or lengths of stay. There are a variety of additional hikes throughout
the area, other rappelling challenges, or even the exciting sport
of canyoneering which can be added. Or the tour can be designed
for a specific focus group such as couples retreats, men's wilderness
retreats, youth groups, etc. Working together with your own tour
organizer, we can assist in making these focused retreats an uplifting
and unforgettable experience.
Are there discounts available?
Our goal is to offer as many people as possible the opportunity
to be spiritually touched by these experiences so that they may
positively affect others in their lives. A percentage of each donation
goes toward a sponsorship program for those who can not afford this
experience. As well, we offer special discounts for families, students,
nationals, and hardship cases. Please contact us directly to discuss
the specifics for your group prior to booking.
Is this a religious tour?
We offer spiritual renewal through adventure tours which are designed
to excite your mind, body and soul. All this against the backdrop
of one of Costa Rica's most beautiful natural environment. We are
non-denominational, and encourage those from any religious, racial
or cultural background to come share in this wonderous experience.
